Edison Insurance Group operates this Web site from it’s corporate office located in Florida. This site and all information contained therein, is intended for the use of clients or perspective clients or others with insurable interests within the State of Florida. Edison Insurance Group does not represent that the information on this Site is appropriate or available for use in other locations, and access to or from certain locations may be strictly prohibited.  Use of this site is at will, and all users are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.  The laws of the State of Florida, U.S.A., will govern any claims relating to the information contained on this site.  All users of this site agree to be bound to the terms of use.

Edison Insurance Group makes absolutely no representation as to the accuracy or reliability of any information, content or advertisements contained on, distributed through, or linked, downloaded or accessed for the site, except as otherwise expressly stated in any applicable agreement.  User acknowledges that any reliance upon any service, product, or material shall be at user’s sole risk, except as otherwise required by applicable law. Edison Insurance Group reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without any obligation, to correct any error or omission on any portion or any service, product, or material.

Notice of Risk

Edison Insurance Group, does not sell it’s own insurance products, annuities or bonds.  Rather Edison Insurance Group sells insurance products, annuities and bonds on behalf of other issuing companies.  When user buys insurance products, annuities or bonds through these companies, User is doing business with these entities and not Edison Insurance Group.   Edison Insurance Group cannot require user to purchase insurance for a particular insurer, bonding company or risk retention group.  Prior to purchasing insurance products, annuities or bonds, user should compare information obtained from two or more carriers,  User has the right to obtain insurance for the carrier of user’s choice.  Insurance products, annuities and bonds are not bank deposits and are not FDIC insured, nor are they obligations of or guaranteed by the Edison Insurance Group, or their subsidiaries.  The insurance products. annuities, or bonds or risk retention groups involve risk, including the possible loss of the principal amount invested.             

Enforceability of Electronic Signature and Signed Documents

An Electronic Signature used by Edison Insurance Group or any User of this, or affiliated Website(s) shall be considered in connection with any contemplated transaction to be a “writing” or “in writing” and shall be considered as authenticated by an electronic signature.  Any electronic writing record containing an electronic signature shall be deemed for all purposes (a) to have been “signed” and (b) to constitute an “original” when printed from electronic records established and maintained by Edison Insurance Group or its authorized agents in the normal course of business. User agrees to not contest the authorization for, or validity or enforceability of, electronic records and signed documents, or the admissibility of copies thereof, under any applicable law relating to whether certain agreements, files or electronic records are to be in writing (documentary form) or signed by the party to be bound thereby.  Electronic records and signed documents, if introduced as evidence on paper in any judicial, or other proceedings, will be admissible to the same extent and under the same conditions as other documentary records.  Upon Edison Insurance Group’s written request, User agrees to manually sign or place User’s signature on any paper original of any electronic record or signed document.

Fraud Warning Statement (electronic signature)

WARNING: on any other application, Florida Statute 627.409 states “a misrepresentation, omission, concealment of fact, or incorrect statement may prevent recovery under the contract or policy….”

WARNING: “Any person who knowingly and with intent to injure, defraud or deceive any insure, files a statement of claim or application containing any false, incomplete or misleading information is guilty of a felony of the third degree.

In addition to Florida, other State’s  or Federal Law, rules or regulations may apply.   

Trademarks

Any and all trademarks, logos, and service marks identified as belonging to the Edison Insurance Group, are the property of Edison Insurance Group.  All other brands and product names are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective companies.  Nothing contained on the Site should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise, any license or right to use any Trademarks displayed on the Site without the permission of Edison Insurance Group or such third party that may own the Trademarks displayed on this Site.  The misuse of the Trademarks displayed on the Site, or any other content on the Site, is strictly prohibited.  

Linked Internet Web-Sites

Edison Insurance Group has provided internet links for user convenience. Edison Insurance Group does not endorse or accept responsibility for any such website.  Further Edison Insurance Group, makes no representation about any website user may access through the Edison Insurance Group website.  Any website linked to our site is independent for Edison Insurance Group, and as such we have no control over the products, services, materials, or other information contained in or available through these third party websites.  The quality and dependability of these third party websites may vary as they are updated or altered.  Access to any other websites linked to this website is at the user’s own risk.                      

Unauthorized Solicitation/Use

Users of this web site and related links are on notice that they are not authorized   “prohibited from”, the use of this web site for solicitation/use of their products or services or to contact Edison Insurance Group employees or Edison Insurance Group, carriers, brokers or others for matters not related to the business of insurance.  Such unauthorized solicitations include but may not be limited to: SPAM, phishing,  or any other type of illegal activity or solicitation currently in use, or that may be in use in the future.

Illegal activity will be reported to the appropriate governmental entity or internet service provider.            

Change in Web Site

Limitation of Liability

In no event will Edison Insurance Group or other third parties mentioned in this site be liable for any damages whatsoever or howsoever caused (including without limitation, those resulting from lost profits, lost data or business interruption) arising out of the use, inability to use, or the results of the use of this site, any web sites linked to this site, or the materials or information contained at any or all such sites, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory and whether or not advised of the possibility of such damages.  If your use of the material or information from this site results in the need for servicing, repair or correction of equipment or data, you assume any and all cost thereof.  Applicable law may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you
